On my comments I rate the condition of the bills as follows:
"Como nova - ATM" : UNC (uncirculated)
"Como nova" : Shining and like new
"Bom estado" : lost its shine, but stil in good condition
"Razoável" : a well-used bill, some signs of wear (minos cuts)
"Gasta" : worn-out, these probably will not return to circulation if they get to a bank
"Muito gasta" : the worst condition in my scale those which you are amazed to find, cut, glued or pieces missing.
To each state other than UNC, the following comments are common:
"vincada" : creased, usually a center fold
"amarrotada" : wrinckled
"suja" : dirty
"manchada" : stained
